The three hives that started it all

It started, as a lot of good things do, with a conversation. One Sunday in June of 2017 we got talking to the man selling honey at our local farmers market. He'd been keeping bees for years, and we'd been buying his honey for months.
The more we talked, the more it clicked. Bees do so much for the plants around us, and on top of it, they share a little sweetness with us. We found the local beekeepers' guild, met a whole community, and a week later we brought home three colonies.
Three months after that, we harvested our first batch. It was, to put it mildly, delicious. Our kids were hooked, and so were we.
Every season since, the apiary has grown, but the philosophy hasn't changed. Honest beekeeping, honest honey, shared with our neighbors.
